Community
Aetas Deae is not only a body of teachings, but a lived and relational practice.
This page outlines the forms of participation, contribution, and shared life through which the work is stewarded and sustained.
How to Belong to Aetas Deae
Belonging to Aetas Deae means sharing its values. People come here because they support a matriarchal, female-led approach, and are willing to act in ways that respect women’s authority, each other, and the shared space.
Stay With Us
Short stays, longer stays, and contribution-based residencies
Community at Aetas Deae is not passive. It is entered through presence, responsibility, and shared rhythms of work, study, and care, by those who are aligned with a matriarchal, female-led order.
Participation takes different forms depending on one’s disposition, capacities, and the kind of relationship one wishes to form with the work, but it is always grounded in shared values and intentional presence
Creators in Residence
Aetas Deae receives writers, artists, and thinkers who wish to work in quiet concentration, held within a shared but largely solitary environment. These stays are self-directed and unprogrammed, shaped by personal discipline rather than instruction.
They are not retreats, but periods of inhabitation: time to write, think, and produce, within a place ordered for focus, care, and continuity.
Participants
Some come to Aetas Deae to attend gatherings, retreats, study periods, or shared work. Participation may be occasional or sustained, structured or informal, depending on the nature of the offering and the needs of the community at that time.
What matters is not intensity, but attentiveness: the willingness to arrive fully, respect the container, and contribute to the shared field of practice.
Service & Stewardship
Some forms of participation involve service, care, and responsibility for the ongoing life of the place. This may include practical support, hosting, preparation, maintenance, or ritual service, depending on one’s capacities and the needs of the community.
These roles are entered into consciously and by agreement. They are not casual volunteering, but forms of stewardship that recognise the value of labour, presence, and continuity.
